Happiness is. . . A Pearly Giveaway

To celebrate my Blog’s Birthday this month I am hosting a giveaway from pearlparadise.com. After reading my post on What’s your Colour Personality? they sent me these lovely pearls when I mentioned they were my favourite!

I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls off a string. Unknown

They are an unusual combination of pink and gray!  Pearls of Paradise are about making the beauty of pearls available and affordable to everyone!  They would certainly be a great gift idea for Christmas!

    The pearls do seem quite unique!
    I remember the first pearls I ever got. My mom took me when I was about 15 to a really nice jewelry store to pick out something special. It all looked kind of "mature" to me at the time and I would have rather had some kind of rubber bracelet or 20 pink bangles. After wandering around being a typical teenage brat, I stopped in front of the pearl case and coincidentally, so had my mom. We both moved slowly in the same direction, looking into the case, unaware of the other persons presence. It was only until we were directly in front of each other did we realize we were looking at the same tiny, solitaire pearl earrings. We both knew they were perfect no words were needed. I wore them non-stop for nearly 15 years until sadly they started to chip a bit and lose their sheen. Since I have taken them out I haven't been able to find anything quite as special. Everything is made out of rubber and cheap metal and only a pearl could stand the test of time, a generational gap and a mother-daughter bond.

    Pearls are a very special gem, only to be worn by those who smile often.
