I arrived tonight barely in time for the Board of Directors meeting for the Colour Marketing Group here in San Antonio. I'm not a board member yet, everyone will be voting after the conference. Anyway, this is such a pretty city from what I saw on the way here in the taxi. I think we are dong some kind of riverboat cruise dinner tomorrow night. Should be fun!

You should buy the yellow, because it will make you happy. Besides, the waist detail and collar are a more classic look.
ReplyDeleteListen to Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteShe's totally right!
The riverwalk is soo pretty, you'll like it there! Touristy, but still pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnd the yellow coat, most def!
I do love the yellow....but i love the red more because it looks more modern and would look pretty with lots of colors. I think red is bold and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that river ride and all the colors you foresee.

I think the yellow as it will go better with your colouring. Blonds don't always fair well with red, but they do with yellows and camel. Didn't you have your colours done? :)
ReplyDeleteGo for the red! Very in color now - to have as accessories too. You look like a "summer" - this red should look good on you. And - by the way - do you have to choose??
ReplyDeleteJanet from Ashburn
Yellow - even in the fall it will look great with brown/black accessories. And it will highlight your hair so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow. Yellow sounds like your favorite color, and it will look good with your coloring and hair. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got to take look at the homes in King William and Monte Vista (my stomping ground). Pure eye candy! The homes in King William are gorgeous but either limestone or painted in those beige/off white shades. The homes in Monte Vista are a little more daring in their color choices. Please excuse our plants and yards... We've had a terrible drought this year. Welcome to San Antonio!
ReplyDeleteyou know what color to pick . . . .
ReplyDeleteYellow! But consider cutting your hair into a long bob. So it swings. very chic and modern
ReplyDeleteThe coat that makes you fee happy everytime you put it on - will be the right one!
ReplyDeleteGet the yellow, the red will enter the room before you do. I think it will overpower you.
ReplyDeleteI would go with YELLOW! btw, there are two J. Crews in San Antonio. Hope you have found one (and your coat) by now :)
ReplyDeleteRe: predicting colour trends - I always thought you threw a bunch of paint chips in a hat and then picked one!
ReplyDeleteRe: buying a coat - You obviously love sunflower yellow, so you should definitely buy the yellow coat.
Oh my! The red of course. You want to set off your coloring not blend into it! I think you would look so great in the red with a pop of a great yellow scarf! Be daring! Great blog. I read it everyday! I live in New Mexico and it has been dry here too. But the rains have come this last week!
ReplyDeleteBOTH! :) But my vote goes for the yellow.
ReplyDeleteYou *need* the yellow!! Love that coat - I've bought that same style. It's classic and perfect.
ReplyDeleteSan Antonio is a beautiful city...and there's some great restaurants throughout the city. Many of them are NOT the places the tourists go...ask around. You just might find a treasure...
ReplyDeleteread your link that addresses the tie or lack thereof between color choices and consumerism. I don't see a lot of evidence to support the claim made in that post. Exactly how do consumers decide the 'in' colors? If a majority of us keep choosing and buying greens and blues, does that mean the color of the year will be in those hues? how did yellow and honeysuckle rise to the top? just curious. I don't see how I have any say or affect on what colors are determined to be "the" colors.
ReplyDeleteI bought yellow corduroy pants from J.Crew and they made me happy everytime I put them on.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the yellow....love the color, plus the back detail is prettier.
ReplyDeleteI thought for sure, people in the know, sit around a large table, in hooded robes. Sort of like lights of the color wheel! By the way, yellow for sure, on the coat!
ReplyDeleteYellow is you!
ReplyDeleteWait to see what the forecast colour is, then buy the coat colour that goes best with and buy a scarf in the new forecast colour to accessorize.
ReplyDeleteOr heck, when in doubt...buy both, lol!
Oh I know about the shopping first. That's what we did in LA! Go for the red and wear some yellow shoes, I know you own a pair of those! Enjoy San Antonio, It's one of our favorite places to visit here in Texas!
ReplyDeleteOh Maria I know you must have the yellow!! Of course!

Maria,
ReplyDeleteOH how fun! About the coats...are you kidding? Get Both! Yellow for fall and Red for the Holidays. I always purchase in pairs besides you're a woman of travel, color moods and can change as you desire. You don't want to be haunted by the one purchase and then keep thinking about the other that was not selected.
Have a great time and looking forward to hearing about the forcasts. Color them Happy!

You need to buy the yellow coat so you can be in camouflage when you sit on your yellow sofa.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely...the yellow! It will look great on you!!
ReplyDeleteOf course the only solution is to buy both, that's what I would do. A girl can never have too many coats, shoes or boots!
